Hi,
I’m seeking a piece of advise or any experience that anyone might have with similar case. I have <1cm, Spetzler Martin grade 3, Lawton-Young grade 2 Left posterior fossa arteriovenous malformation (I already had 1 bleed, 1,5y ago). This AVM is fed by the bilateral superior cerebellar arteries, with deep venous drainage into the vein of Galen. There are no intranidal aneurysms.
I’m about to have a Gamma Knife procedure in 2 weeks (still not sure about it to be honest, I was also offered LINAC, which is also radiosurgery) and I have a question about angiogram (invasive one, with a catherer). Docs told me that I would need to have another one (I had angio 2 months ago, in July 2025), this time stereotactic (with the frame on my head) as opposed to diagnostic one, which I already had.
a) Did anyone of you have similar angiogram before GK procedure?
b) Did anyone of you had Gamma for such small AVM in the similar location (if yes , was it successfull/any side effects in this area of brain?
Thanks.
