Tamiflu

This flu season here in California has truly been a harsh one. Even with a flu shot people can still get the flu. I found this out first hand. Roy contracted the flu while being inpatient at children's Hospital in Oakland. He was given Tamiflu to help him. I researched Tamiflu because as soon as Roy received his first doze he began to act a little strange. He got his first doze at midnight, normally he would be asleep and about an hour after he got Tamiflu he looked wide awake. He did not sleep all night. He even at one time during the night spooked me. He picked up his upper body and head so fast I thought he might fall off his hospital bed. I began to worry and that is when I found out that this drug caused insomnia, seizures, diarrhea, hallucinations. Japan stopped distributing it to their children after some even died. I read reports how after a week or so children began to act strange having hallucinations one child jumped off a building. Seizures also caused after treatment. I mentioned all of this to his doctors and they said that they had to weigh in the pros and cons. Like all meds, sure. He also had diarrhea, But today Roy had a seizure, this leads me to believe that Tamiflu is the culprit. Roy never had a seizure ever even after his brain bleed. He had a seizure at 2:00 pm during his bath. the seizure lasted for two minutes, then he fell into a deep sleep. I began to worry even more, as if I don't have enough worries already dealing with all that has been going on. It is now 12:30 am and he is trying to wake up. He opened his eyes and he looks so tired. The doctor even said they weren't ready to call it a seizure right after it happened. But now that he has been asleep for this long? I think they need to really look into this. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them or their children after getting this flu medicine.

I hope he has had no further seizures, Silvia.
