I just came home from the hospital yesterday. I had a bleed, my third one… I could not breathe and my entire body paralyzed. I regained most fonction but my body is weak and feels heavy. The vertigo is too severe to do anything and the headaches are horrible, but other than that I’m doing good. I need surgery… My breathing will only get worse as well as my ability to swallow. This unsuspected event made it easy to make the decision I was agonizing over… Dr. Robert Spetzler is going to perform the surgery. I will have a date tonight.

Please keep us updated. From what I have read you picked one of the best if not the best surgeon to remove your avm. It has to be scary but a big relief at the same time. Prayers are with you and your family.
