Welcome New Members- July, August, & September!

Hi everyone! We’ve had some wonderful new members join our community over the past couple of months, so I’d love to take a moment to introduce and welcome them!

@MummaT is joining us from sunny Queensland, Australia, as a loving relative. Her 17-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with an AVM, and they’re exploring treatment options together. She’s looking for advice and support as they step into this journey, so let’s make sure she feels right at home here!

@Leena27 is from Aachen, Germany, and has been working hard on her recovery after an AVM rupture. She spent half a year in the hospital and rehab, and her resilience is inspiring!

@littlecar from Singapore has had gamma knife treatment after dealing with chronic migraines and seizures. They’re managing the side effects and would love to connect with others who may have been through something similar.

@Hans from Germany is optimistic about his journey after having one embolization, with another coming up in November. He’s looking to share his experience and hear from others along the way!

@ezekiel from Essex, UK, is new to gamma knife radiotherapy, and though he’s been dealing with some brain fog and headaches, he’s staying hopeful thanks to the support of his family and friends. Let’s make sure he feels that same support from all of us too!

@Leon87 is from California, USA, and has bravely faced two craniotomies following a stroke that revealed his AVM. He’s undergone angiograms as well, and we’re so glad to have him here with us.

@leftlobeavm is a patient from Canada who experienced a seizure while sleeping back in 2019. It led to the discovery of his AVM in the left frontal lobe, which he had surgically removed soon after. He’s here to share his story and connect with everyone!

@andrew305205 from Waterford, Ireland, has been recovering from an AVM fistula brain bleed that resulted in some left-side weakness. He’s working through it with determination, and we’re all cheering him on!

@Summer010824 from the West Midlands, England, is preparing for her wedding in just a few weeks! She was recently diagnosed with an AVM after years of migraines and is awaiting further treatment discussions. Let’s send her lots of love and support, especially as she juggles these big life events!

@Dika from Benin, Nigeria, was diagnosed with a spinal AVM in 2016 and has had both embolization and open surgery. While the surgery was successful, he’s still working through mobility challenges and would love to connect with others who have had similar experiences post-surgery.

These are some of our amazing new members, and I hope everyone will join me in giving them a warm and heartfelt welcome! As always, feel free to reach out to me or any of the other community moderators if you need anything. Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead!
