I'm 20 and looking to connect with my age group on here.
Hi Brian,
I'm 21 and yes, connecting with others in our age group would be amazing! What are you up to in life?
Yes! I'm 23 and I'm looking for people my age.
Maybe one of you wants to set up a group for people in this age range, or make it for people in their early twenties. However, you would like to definite it. If you need help doing this, please let me know:-)
Hi I’m happy to be in contact with anyone but I just turned 26 lol
… realizing I don’t fall under the early 20s category sorta sucks. But I am in my 20s…27 am I. Lol
Aw, I don't think he is being exclusive. Everyone who has some sort of brain injury is in the same boat. :)
Hi Allibee! I created a group, its called people in their early 20's lol. It would be great if you joined.
Great idea! I think I got it. Thanks!
No worries, feel free to join the group I started. Its called "people in their early 20's" lol
Not trying to be exclusive at all! Feel free to join the group.
Well it looks like we've got 3-4 to start. Please join the group I started. I'm just going to school at my local community college, taking 2 classes. I've only been to them once, since we meet once a week. I can't drive yet due to seizures, it SUCKS! How is life for you?
Good to see you started a group. That's awesome and I'm sure it will grow day by day. Let me know if you need anything:-) Nice job.
I am 27 but i'd love to talk with you1
I, too, am attending school at a local city college. I hope to graduate this June with an associates degree in dental hygiene, and a bachelors degree of science. Thinking back to when I first discovered my avm, it was the day after my finals for my first college semester, december 2009. Since then I have been through several embos, and gamma knife radiation. I'm awaiting my 2-year check up for the gamma in May 2013. Lets hope we all get to clean up our avm sagas very soon, so as to get back to normal, but with a greater appreiation for life. How has your avm affected your day-to-day activities?
Hey I'm happy to see you young'uns start a group. The internet is a powerful tool!
For example, when my wife's AVM showed up about 1991, the only online "help" I found was going online to a medical journal site, paying like $4/minute to scan abstracts in medical journals. I could download those and print them, but it cost more to get the full article. Once we had the abstracts printed, we'd take a dictionary and try to decipher what the heck we were reading................
This was all pre-Google search!
Feel free to have your group, and continue to monitor we old foggies from time to time.
Best wishes,
Ron, KS (Geezer in training)
Hey Brian, I just saw your comment on the "people in their early 20s" group, but I saw this thread too and figured I'd add my bit (I'm 20, though 21 is sooo close!). It's such a relief to find other people our age dealing with this. I hope you're doing well and that your recovery is a speedy one!
i am almost 27...... hope not too old enough for the group u mentioned... :) would love to be of any emotional support.. :)
I’m 20. Found my avm at 17
