DSA 3 month ago

Hello I’am Ridwan I’am 32.
I started having seizures at the age of 27. After undergoing an MRI and DSA procedure, I was diagnosed with an AVM. Since then, my left leg has felt numb. It has been more than 5 years now, and the doctor only prescribed me Phenytoin, 4 tablets a day. Even with the medication, I still have recurring seizures. Up until now, I’ve had seizures 8 times in total.

The doctor said they would wait for the blood vessel to rupture before performing embolization.
i want to surgery but I don’t have money

Welcome to our family! My AVM was discovered due to a bleed, and I had Gamma Knife 6 months later in November of 2016. I was declared AVM free in February of 2019 after and angio. Fast forward to January 2023 and I experienced a seizure and have been on medication ever since. Fortunately no seizures since.

I am sad to hear your potential treatment options are limited. I know so very little about your country, let alone health care. I’m wondering if there are any options to explore though social support agencies or groups? I am not sure who to even talk to but hopefully some of our group can make further suggestions. Once again, welcome, and I hope we are abler to help you out some here with our varied and vast experiences. Take Care, John.
