My Spinal AVM Meme

Dear forum friends,

I know there are so many very important discussions going on in the forum and because of that, I sincerely hope no one will feel slighted or offended that I would like to make a post about something that isn't of importance nor will be useful in those discussions.

In no way do I mean any disrespect to those here with AVM in their brain or extremities, but for sometime now I've been thinking about how on FB or other places online, most of what I see in articles and memes, etc., mention only brain AVMs. I understand that 'Brain AVM' is kind of an umbrella term for AVM anywhere in the body and they typically occur most often in the brain than other parts of the body, especially the spinal cord, but still, I've just longed to see extremity and spinal AVM acknowledged more, especially when it comes to our efforts in raising awareness. So, since I am learning how to use a new photo editing program, I decided to make a meme for spinal AVMers and wanted to post it here to see what you all think of it.

Keep in mind I'm just learning how to use the program, and the text in this meme is a bit fuzzy. I haven't been able to figure out how to make it more clear, but I'm working on it, and in the meantime, this is it:

Tori, your discussion is most welcome, and I am always happy to see you on the group. Raising awareness about non-brain avms is a cause close to my heart. I think it would be great if you also repost on the spinal avm group to ask for additional ideas there for other memes. If you would also like to do the same for Extremity and Facial AVMers, I am sure it would be appreciated.

In addition, Tori, we are currently compiling some informational materials under the tab “AVM Info.” Would you be interested in writing a short piece about spinal avms?

Thank you dancermom. :-)

I definitely will post my meme to the spinal group, and I would be more than happy to make some for extremity and facial AVMers. I will make a post and ask them for their input for suggestions and ideas for what they'd like to have on them.

It may take me a little while to get to make them as I am trying to get some bead work finished that will be Christmas gifts and I'm quickly running out of time for that. But if our extremity and facial AVMers are interested in having me do this and participating, it will be a priority, and a happily fun project for me, and hopefully them too.

Oh absolutely I'm interested in doing that. I will take a look at what others have written so I can get a better of idea of how and what I'll write.

I am a Spinal AVM survivor also and I love your meme!

Thank you Tina!

I just posted it in the spinal, facial and extremity groups and have let everyone know that I would be more than happy to have their input and ideas for others if they'd like me to make some. So if you have some ideas, please jump right in and let me know!

Bestest,

Tori
