Nerve Conduction Test?

Hi All , Need a bit advise from Spinal Dura Avf guys who went thru surgery As I went thru t6-7 in March 2022 Toronto And no recurrence in mri found till 2025 but my legs got initially worst but later in 6 months return better as able to walk with little cain support n drive normal but try swim still not a good success in but little sucess in swim.
I just went thru contrast MRI 10th Feb-2026 Although No recurrence But report says at some point in spine few nerves pinching by spinal cord or So.
My neurologist told lets go for Nerve conduction test And then decide next , I ask if i go for spine surgery then there are chances that I may face more disability or No.
Dr said yes there are chances so better no.

Whats guidance n advise from you guys , do any body experience such issue?

Think I may be in a similar boat. Repeat tests for me had showed a cord indentation at the c7 cervical level, and I’m aware I had a broad based disc bulge in my lumbar area. Getting a follow up MRI again soon hopefully, but overall, nobody has mentioned anything regarding nerve testing, I think a lot of the assumptions have been that all my lower limb numbness was down to the fistula. Realistically though, a private neurosurgeon had commented to me that it may be the case that other areas of the spine are taking over from the effects of the fistula in terms of myelopathy. I guess the nerve conduction tests will help determine what is really going on, but I’ve heard surgery is generally a last resort for many other spinal issues
