Well just came back from seeing the neurologist, and thought it was time to update you all. First couples of weeks after the surgery were strange and dream like. My hair grew back fast, thick and lustrous and then fell out around the incision, I can still cover it up really well and since we are in the heart of winter, hats and toques are in vogue. My vision has started to improve it is still a little hazy to the left side but patience is a virtue I just do not possess. Although I did get the okay to start driving again, I hate to drive so this isn’t as exciting as it should be. It took me a while to figure out where that creaking sound was coming from I though I was moments away from having the ceiling collapse but it turns out it was my head. Oh so comforting to know the skull is healing. I am still getting tired but trying to push myself a little more each day. Cabin fever is running high and I find my self starting and stopping multiple tasks. I have been reverting back to this site almost hourly when no one is home and may have now read all profiles. Got the okay to return to work whenever I want, I will most likely give it a couple of weeks depending if I can find something to keep myself entertained with or not. other wise I am doing well, I still need a follow up CT scan sometime in the coming months and another angiogram in a year or two =(.
Hi Jillian glad to hear you doing well .Don’t push yourself to hard , let yourself heal . you have been trough alot . Any time you get board I am on alot I would love to talk anytime .
Thanks for giving us the update, Jillian. I’ve been wondering how you are doing and feeling! Glad you are continuing to recover well. Did they feel the surgery was successful or is that what the angiogram will determine?
I think you should take alot of time before you go back to work and I hope you can go back part time at first. It will be hard for you to determine how tired it will make you and everyone says it takes a long time for the brain to heal so watch yourself. I hope you can find something to pass the time as you heal. Take care.
Sounds like you are doing well!!! I’m very glad to hear that all the signs seem to show that you are healing and that you will have a great recovery from all of this.
The getting bored part…that is the worst because it ends up “making” you want to go back to work. And who “wants” to go back to work??? Try to enjoy these next few weeks off as life will be back and hectic and all the same old stuff that we are all now so grateful for!
Hello Jillian. I am so pleased for you that you are progressing so very well in your recovery. Now you are becoming bored…Is the hazy vision, the having to re-grow hair again and the creaking head not enough to amuse you ? I remember those days so very vividly…I found that the proper utilization of friends and family amused me for an extra week, just a thought.
Be good to you. Take care ofyou. You are in my prayers.
