I was sixteen when I was told what it was. I was lucky, mine hadn't ruptured or anything and they originally thought I had two, but it turned out to be only one. It wasn't removed until I was seventeen though, and I'm twenty now. I'm glad you're doing well. I really wish everyone the best :)
I was 18 months old but I stopped moving for a short period of time when my mother was 5 months pregnant with me. I am now 30 years old.
Hi i was 18 years old when my avm ruptured but it was 20 years later before i had 2 gamma knife treatments as nothing was available to me in 1979. It is now obliterated.
Hi I was 33 when it was discovered 5 years ago. I had it removed via craniotomy a few months after finding it. It is now obliterated.

I was 20. I am 32 now. It has been a long road. Two Gamma Knife proceedures, two brain aneurysms and an onyx embolization but i am blessed to still be here.
I was 31 when the crainiotomy was done and 32 when the gamma knife was done. Iām 58 years old now.
I was 28 and six months pregnant back in Sepember, 1977 when my AVM ruptured. Had a craniotomy. Delivered baby girl in December, 1977. It will be 38 years this September.

The Doctors found my AVM while they were looking at my brain after an aneurysm had bled. This happened 12 years ago when I was 46 years old. The AVM was treated with Cyberknife radiation. The first dose didnt do the trick so 5 years after the first treatment, they treated again. That time it did the trick and the AVM was obliterated. The AVM did not bleed but the Doctors said it more than likely caused the aneurysm to bleed. I have some facial numbness from the radiation but all is well.

Congratulations for all the things you have accomplished since your AVM ruptured 13 years ago. My AVM was discovered when I was 20 years old. Unfortunately it was discovered after it ruptured in 2011. It has been four years since it ruptured, and three years since I had a radiation to treat the AVM.
I bled three months before my 21st birThday 
I was 19 when I had my first set of AVMs removed, from my right lower leg. My last set of AVMs were removed in 2006. With me, my AVMs tend to regrow. I feel some are regrowing now and I will set an appointment with Dr. Wayne Yakes in the next few weeks.
Hi, I was 20 years old. i am now 47. It has ben 27 years. The 1st 5 years were the hardest for me.
I still worry when i get bad headaches.
I was 26. September 15th will mark my seventh anniversary. I still struggle with my intellect, at times. I still have some good and bad days, but every day is a blessing.

I was 4 when I was diagnosed. Iām now 18 and Iām the same way. I have good and bad days but I always try to find the positive in each day given to me.
I was 17 when it was diagnosed. They had always thought of and treated my malformation as a birthmark. Had laser treatment when I was in 3rd grade that caused me to have seizures. In hindsight, the laser treatment could have killed me.
I was 50 yrs old. Years if suffering with migraines, but this one was the worst. Made to sercurity desk at work & I donāt remember anything for 5 weeks. Massive rupture & brain bleed. Lost over 50 vision, short term memory, many long term memory. Sine physical damage mainly mental & vision. Severe depression, flooding.

I was 9 when my AVM ruptured, and I had emergency surgery to remove it. The surgery was successful, though it left me with short-term memory loss, epilepsy, insomnia, and a few other things. I am now 34 years of age.
