After going so long free of a big seizure I had one the other weekend. I can’t remember a thing about it till I came around in hospital. Apparantly as I was told, I started starring at something then went into the TC seizure which lasted an hour on and off resulting in an emergency hospital visit for the night. I “lost” a whole day, can’t remember a thing, can’t remember going shopping in the afternoon, going out that night, cleaning the patio the day after! I feel a bit guilty as I don’t know about it but my wife has to deal with all the stress and she never tells me the details. I was dosed up with Lorazepam so the day after was a haze as well.
I had an appointment with my nuerologist and he advised me to introduced some Keppra with my Lamical, he said the Keppra should stop the absence seizures that lead to the Tonic Clonic? so I am trying it.
Seems so odd that I had a seizure after so long and I don't know what triggered it only had a few drinks the night before and I have drank a lot more other times and been OK.
Someone asked me a few weeks ago about re applying for my driving licence after a year seizure free, and I said then I would not just in case, and I was right.
I did have the definate result that my AVM was gone so now I just have to live with the after effects of it, although I thing most of the problems were from the Gamma Knife rediation scarring.
Could be worse!
I was going to see Bon Jovi next month in London so thats off, lucky I had insurance with my tickets.
